WV7245 : Rocky shoreline off La Nez de la Roque, and Seymour Tower

Rocky shoreline off La Nez de la Roque, and Seymour Tower
At the southern end of La Baie du Vieux Château, the sands give way to shingle and rocky outcrops. In the distance, way out in the inter-tidal zone, is Seymour Tower WV7245. This, one of the numerous towers built as part of the defences of Jersey, dates from 1782 and is the only square tower on the island. It was subsequently determined that round towers were stronger. Seymour Tower now operates as a bunkhouse providing simple accommodation - at a price!
