        <description>This is a W Sisson of Gloucester inverted vertical compound (enclosed) engine. It is No. E5510 built in 1953. It has cylinders 14&quot; &amp; 20&quot; bores x 8&quot; stroke. It developed 125 kW from the attached Lancashire Dynamo &amp; Crypto alternator.

This is one of three stationary steam engines on display in the museum. There is a duplex steam winch in the open also.</description>

        <description>'Colonial' steam engine built by Tangye Bros of Birmingham in 1898. The slide valve cylinder is 10&quot; x 15&quot;. This is the only engine I've ever seen with an attached bas-relief of Queen Victoria. It is believed this was to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee in 1897. Behind the flywheel is a Belliss &amp; Morcom C-type compound driving a dynamo.</description>
