WV5454 : Moltke Battery, Les Landes

Moltke Battery, Les Landes
Moltke Battery, Les Landes
This German army battery was installed in the spring of 1941.
It had four captured French 15.5cm guns commanding the sea approaches to St Ouen’s Bay.
The guns were dumped over the cliffs at Rouge Nez after the war, but many were raised from the sea in the 1990s and put on display.
